Experiencing your magnificence, moving into the future that your soul longs for, can at times be terrifying . This is because on many levels we have made peace with our perceived limitations. We have defined our relationships, accepted our “shortcomings”, lived with our illnesses, embraced the joys we have managed to wean from life; all on the basis of our existing consciousness. We know that there must be something more, but when consciousness begins to shift. and the soul begins to stir, our minds often react with fear: “Things may not be great”, the mind whispers, “but what if I lose everything I now have”?
To be true to our calling we must stand in the unknown, breathe into our desperation, and simply do what is in front of us to do as best we can. Emotionally we might feel like the winds of change are tearing us apart, but when the storm subsides, we find ourseves standing next to whatever our heart has always desired.
As it says on page one of A Course In Miracles: “Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God”.
A very good adage to remember. Especially in times like these.
