The Dragon***



I lay down my sword before the fire breathing dragon of  fear. Bowing low I kiss its ancient brow.  


“Thank you,” I murmur, as I caress its gnarled and knotted horn.


“You have shown me the road to liberation. You have humbled me with purifying flames. Here, in the dust, shorn of armor and weapons, I can finally see you.  You are my brother, a child of Light, cloaked in holiness.


Only when I truly look into your eyes can I embrace the jewel of my own Divine essence.
