The older I get, the less I want to convince anybody of anything. Arguing, it seems to me, is like waging war against yourself, with phantoms of your own creation. My heart longs to share a deeper place, a space beyond “right” and “wrong,” where love and terror is expressed without fear of negation. To enter this land I must give up my quest for victory. I must lay aside all my armor and my weapons.
For me this is the true meaning of courage.
